What began in 1935 as a New Year's Day football game between Buckenell and the University of Miami has become today's Orange Bowl – and is touted as the single largest tourist attraction in South Florida. The Miami area is alive with a mix of activities all centered on the big game. Everything from cheerleading contests to tailgate parties – there is something for everyone. Kansas topped Virginia Tech in 2008. For the 2009 game, Dolphin Stadium will host the national championship game. |
